Set against the backdrop of the Bay of Bengal, Pondicherry Engineering College may be termed as the Technological Jewel of the Coromandel Coast. It is a premier institution promoted and fully funded by Government of Pondicherry. The college, started in the year 1985, offers eight undergraduate and six postgraduate courses apart from part-time M.Phil and Ph.D programs. The scenic beauty of the campus forms an excellent setting for the pursuit of learning. Well-planned department buildings, library, hostels, student amenities center, open-air theatre, staff residential quarters, lawns and gardens constitute the 210 acres of the college campus. The institute has several on-going research projects, funded by AICTE, DST, etc.. It has established a firm base in development and consultancy activities and is embarking on several MOUs with prominent government and industrial organizations.
This conference will be organized jointly by the Departments of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and Department of Physics. The venue of this conference is the newly built Auditorium Complex, which is of international standard with state of the art facilities.

In and around Pondicherry many ancient temples built by the Chola and Pallava kings are situated. The nearest international airport is situated in the metro city of Chennai, which is 160 Km north of Pondicherry. Pondicherry is well connected to Chennai by both road and rail.
